Meet Frances

Frances Terwilliger is a versatile leader and creative force whose career is defined by operational excellence and a unique, global perspective. Currently serving as the Chief Operating Officer of BMA Productions, Frances oversees a robust development slate with three feature films scheduled for production over the next three years.

Her journey into the arts is backed by a foundation of high-stakes leadership. A U.S. Army veteran, Frances enlisted in 2002 and served as an Intelligence Analyst with the 101st Combat Aviation Brigade at Fort Campbell. Following a deployment to Iraq and an honorable discharge in 2007, she transitioned into the corporate sector, mastering the complexities of operational management. Her "real-world grit" was forged in the fast-paced world of logistics and multi-unit supervision, where she managed up to 12 locations simultaneously.

In 2025, Frances pivoted her focus to the film industry, quickly becoming a fixture on set both in front of and behind the camera. Her production credits include serving as Assistant Director and Production Assistant on the upcoming feature Machiavelli alongside Brandie Matthews. As an actress, her early credits include roles in the feature Solstice, the YouTube series Whisperer, and the film Ms. Fenton.

Having lived across the globe—from Korea and Belgium to various corners of the United States—Frances brings a seasoned, international lens to every project she touches. Now based in Ohio, she combines her military precision with a deep passion for collaborative storytelling to drive the next generation of independent cinema.
